The intercultural approach to education of students at the faculties of primary education

Abstract

The research interest of this thesis focuses on exploring the attitudes and perceptions of future teachers on intercultural curricula, as in a short time they will be asked to teach in a well-established multicultural school environment. With the new conditions that are created in schools in the recent years, there are now different problems and needs. Our aim is both to record students' needs at the end of their undergraduate studies, at the Departments of Primary Education, and to express opinions and proposals of the teachers themselves as far as it concerns the organization and content of the curricula with a multicultural perspective. The necessity of our work is also documented by the limited number of systematic research efforts that refer to all the teaching faculties and graduates of these departments.
