EDUCATIONAL POLICY AND POWER: THE CASE OF THE ASSESSMENT OF TEACHERS (1982-1994)
Abstract
THIS DISSERTATION EXAMINES THE ASSESSMENT OF EDUCATORS AND THROUGH THIS THE EDUCATIONAL POLICY DURING THE PERIOD 1982-1994. THIS ASSESSMENT IS APPROACHED THROUGH THE DISSERTATION AS A FORM OF REGULATION OF THE SCHOOL AUTHORITIES AND AS A COGNITIVE PROCESS OF PROGRAMMING, APPRAISAL, DRAWING OF INFORMATION AND KNOWLEDGE CONCERNING TEACHING/PEDAGOGICAL METHODS, THE INSTRUCTIONAL FUNCTION OFSCHOOLS. IN THIS LIGHT THE PROBLEM OF ASSESSMENT IS CONFRONTED THROUGH THE CONTINUOUS EVOLUTION OF THE TENDENCIES FOR DEMOCRATISATION, EFFICIENCY, QUALITIVE CONTROL WHICH HAVE DEVELOPED DURING THE PERIOD THAT IS EXAMINED. THE DISSERTATION RECKONS THAT THE CONTINUOUS JUXTAPOSITIONS REGARDING THE ASSESSMENT OF EDUCATORS COMPRISES AN INDICATOR OF THE JUXTAPOSITIONS CONCERNING THE CENTRALIZED GOVERNMENTAL COMPOSITION OF EDUCATION AND OF THE REQUEST FOR MORE AUTONOMY AND DECENTRALIZATION OF THE EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM.
