Socialization is valued as a core human process, in which an individual is introduced with information, led through via learning processes by various agents and gradually learns how to adaptively and fruitfully interact with society. One of the main socialization pathways is gender configuration: during every developmental phase the individual is equipped with new ideas about what constitutes a gender-appropriate behavior, therefore one is urged to update his/ her attitude towards each gender. Preschool age seems to be a crucial point of acquiring both a productive social role and a more or less stereotypical gender role. Since fairytale narratives are a usual educational tool for these ages, the present study investigated how these aforementioned variables are inter-related.
