The educational policy of the dictatorship in Higher Education (1967-1974): institutional arrangements and legitimization strategies in University of Patras. Student resistance and collective memory

Abstract

The aim of this dissertation is the study of the educational policy during the period of the aprilian dictatorship (1967-1974) in Higher Education. The research lens focuses on the institutional arrangements and legitimization strategies of educational policy as well as its perception from the anti-regime students in University of Patras. Specifically, the research questions of this dissertation are:a)What were institutional arrangements and legitimization strategies of educational policy in Higher Education, during the period of the aprilian dictatorship in Higher Education and specifically in University of Patras?b)How the collective identity of the anti-dictatorship student movement was constructed through the collective memory and what were its characteristics?In the research part of this dissertation a combination of archival research with oral history has been made, ensuring the triangulation of data in order to obtain valid and reliable results.Regarding the concluding survey re ...
