Civil protection regard to natural disasters during peace: The role of local government and voluntary organizations

Abstract

The development of this thesis consists of two parts. Part A is structured into seven chapters, oriented in the study and systematic evaluation of existing research and institutional framework in an interdisciplinary field of knowledge and human experience regarding in the management of natural disasters, which cause extremely unfavourable impact in the anthropogenic system, with particular emphasis on implementing and improving the efficiency of organized systems of Civil Protection. The survey of the first part of this paper is intended to optimize processes related to the management of natural disasters by developing a synthetic methodology approach, derived from the "blending" of different science subjects. Basic objective is the formulation of the theoretical and operational framework of natural disasters, contributing to the advancement of knowledge.
