The social dimension of Human Resources Management in the context of Corporate Social Responsibility: the case of Public Power Corporation

Abstract

The notion that, as a concept, entrepreneurship is exhausted in the counting of new businesses established in a certain period of time, is wrong because it is now widely accepted, entrepreneurship, in its broadest sense, expresses, above all, " way of thinking ”and behaviors of individuals or groups of people in all their manifestations. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), in this sense, prescribes a modern concept of management that drastically affects corporate values and principles, in the context of modern business action, and focuses mainly on the direction of sustainable development and social welfare. Recognition by modern societies of the need for balanced and sustainable development and the fundamental changes it requires for the way businesses are organized and operated is the main reason for the development and dissemination of the idea of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Corporate Ethics.
