Ο βοηθικός προβληματισμός για τα ζητήματα που προκύπτουν από την εκπληκτική εξέλιξη βιοϊατρικών εφ PGD laboratory. Semi-structured in-depth original interviews (from six scientists) and the observation as participation, primary and uncontrolled held on the PGD laboratory are used as research tools for data collection. The qualitative data that were produced, were subjected to typology and hermeneutical analysis. The key findings of this research concern the emergence of bioethical PGD issues in Greece such as the respect of the autonomous decision of the future parents, the issues of embryo manipulation, which have become a particular form of “trafficking material” through PGD process, the issues of the protection of the genetic data, but also the issues of the reproductive tourism, the exaggerated presentation of the method in internet, and the need for improvement of the process of Genetic Counseling. All the issues mentioned above, whose lack of solution is confirmed by the empirical research, are serious bioethical concerns and require special discussion. In light of these findings, the PGD field in our country is a scientific environment with particular interest. Within this field, but also within the privileged field of bioethics, this research aims to contribute with both the regulatory approach, which attaches the central role in resolving the PGD issues to the principle of autonomy, and the empirical evidence, that can be used for the social integration of the process in such a way as to benefit from this scientific breakthrough in human health and wellbeing, without threatening any term of our common life.
